Welcome to Alpenhorn Farm!

We at Alpenhorn strive to provide the freshest, highest quality produce to our customers at the Bellingham Farmers’ Market, as well as through our Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA).

We are a mixed farm raising vegetables, honeybees, sheep, a mini herd of dairy goats, and a beautiful flock of free ranging chickens and ducks! Our garden is small, and we practice the Biodynamic method, which means our farm is treated like a complete living organism. We use no artificial fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Since we only sell locally, we’ve opted to rely on interpersonal communication about our standards this year, as opposed to certification. Call and ask about farm tours.

Text Box: Alpenhorn Farm shares can be purchased for $400.00, and guarantee you and your family 20 weeks of fresh “beyond organic” produce, running June through October for the 2010 season. You can pick it up at the Saturday Bellingham Farmers’ Market, at our booth, or on farm, Friday Evenings about five minutes north of Bellingham. Call for details.

We strive towards creating a complete biodynamic farm. What is Biodynamic Farming and gardening in a nutshell?

· Utilizing Biodynamic Preparations throughout the season, and using only compost and herbal preparations for fertility.

· Including the proper ratio of animals, vegetables, pasture, and trees in the farm organism.
